Hello, I'm Amy.

I'm a qualified language teacher from the UK, with professional experience across five countries.

​

Much of my career has been in education, including teaching and leadership roles in UK state schools. I've also worked in financial services, hospitality and media production, as well as with a creative communications agency, a global NGO and a tech start-up.

​

As a language teacher, I've worked with people in engineering, biotechnology, forestry and agriculture, professional services and other fields. I've led teams, coached and developed others, and trained in using coaching conversations in leadership and education.

​

Many of the people I work with come to me because something has changed. A new role, more international work, a move abroad, or simply a sense that their English needs to catch up with where they're going next.

​

Change has been a big part of my own working life too. I've changed careers, worked in different countries and, most recently, moved to Hamburg.

​

I've also spent a lot of my life learning languages. I studied French and Italian at degree level, know some Spanish and I'm currently learning German at around B2. I know what it's like to have plenty to say and not always have the words to say it.

Today, I work with professionals and young people, one-to-one and in small groups, online and in Hamburg. We work with the English you already have and build from there — around your work, your life and the conversations you actually need to have.

The way I work is shaped by my experience in language teaching, coaching, psychology and workplace learning, but it starts with the person in front of me. No two people need quite the same thing, so no two programmes look quite the same either.
